The “N” litter met their owners for the first time this weekend as Aytee’s routine for pups is first viewing at 6 weeks. All 2 legs had met before, but pups had only been seen on video…. .WOW what a welcome they gave everyone after long journeys and lots of puppy love! We are SO lucky and despite no handshakes big hugs and thanks to all our owners….. see you in a week or two !
Best Dogfood Ever
Thankyou to Skinners Petfood for their fantastic support of HPR Field Trials through their Field and Trial Range. Aytee’s last delivery yesterday by Mel couldn’t be done without a bit of puppy love
Puppies due North Island, New Zealand May 2020
Which way is North ?
Aytee’s first litter to be born in New Zealand will be the last for Ft Ch Aytee Isadora when we arrive later this Spring as we are very excited to be expecting our “O” litter in May. Sired by the lovely Graygees Gigolo we will be keeping one of the Kiwi pups ourselves for trialling down-under and we’re also keeping everything crossed as we have to get there first ! BACK TO WORK
Fantastic weekend spent with owner of the sire of our “N” litter and “Bodi” too came to visit his pups. Much puppy love went on and then both dam and sire took turns to hunt, both finding and pointing birds. Karat here (ha, with her undercarriage) on point before flushing a cock bird and Bodi strutting his stuff.
Bodi back from hunting with Gina Brown
Aytee Kalico on a mission
I had an interesting demo of search and rescue this weekend when one of our 2016 K litter “Juno” was honing her skills in finding 3 hidden ‘casualties’ in thick forest. Watching Juno’s scenting ability being used in this way was fascinating and her wide quartering meant that she quickly did the job that a line of police officers might otherwise have been called to do on a search like this. Huge thanks to Ian Danks (and family) from the RAF for setting it up and to our 3 cold and wet ‘casualties.’
Clever, clever Karat
The wish list was long but Karat must have been tipped off because she produced 10 beautiful pups yesterday for 10 working homes . Born in just 6 hours each pup weighed in at 1lb what an extraordinary weight she had been carrying around! Thanks to Gina, and Bodi who played his part superbly well and whilst it is early days we are very excited for our lovely owners and apologise unreservedly to those who have been disappointed.
FANTASTIC SEASON
Well its the end of another wonderful season working with our lovely dogs and people of course 😀 Here a beaters day at the Tas Valley Shoot part of a manic week of trialling, shootover and training and here at home today with Karat delivering her first litter and a new generation of Aytee puppies. How can anything compare with the rhythm of a shooting year 😍 Ever onward !
SO NEAR BODI
Another weekend, another Championship Show and this time in Manchester a Reserve CC for “Bodi” - Graygees Gigolo with owner Gina Brown. Congratulations to you both, another fantastic result. We are much looking forward to his pups arriving …Karat is getting fed up
Beautiful Ballinacor, Ireland
The fantastic Ballinacor Estate in the Dublin Mountains hosted the German Pointer Club of Irelands challenging Open Trial this weekend. Sandwiched between two storms the cold and blustery conditions ensured that birds were either running fast or tucked right away. Finally three dogs went to water with Aytee Jessie Jay 2nd and Aytee Isadora 3rd and congratulations to Damien McCabe for a lovely win. A tough day, but as ever, thanks to the whole team and who could not have enjoyed these endlessly beautiful views .
Fantastic win for 'Bodi'
Congratulations to Bodi aka Graygees Gigolo, the sire of our expected “N “litter who won his second CC at Boston Championship Show today. Fabulous result at the end of a busy week for Bodi and owner Gina Brown as they were both field trialling yesterday. True dual purpose well done both, roll on the next one 🍾🍾🍾
