A superb game finder, swimmer and pointer with a soft mouth, she shows real excellence in the field and with a fabulous kind temperament at home (and in work) she brings together all the strengths that we at Aytee are looking for. Karat won a Novice Field Trial on her 4th entry and in showing won her third CC a week after her 3rd birthday.

Bodi is a rising star. Winner in showing of JW, BOB, Group winner and CC’s at home and abroad, plus he has recently won his Show Gundog Working Certificate. I also watched him run extremely well in his first two field trial entries. A wide running, stylish dog, calm and quiet in his work, very biddable and he has a good mouth. Picks up regularly at local shoots and is a lovely family dog at home.
Loving working homes will take priority and pups will have tails docked, dew claws removed and have been microchipped but not injected. They do not have to be serious trialling homes but you will need to show that you have some experience of training HPR's and plan to train your puppy for a job.

Fantastic news ….Karat scanned today and it shows she is carrying puppies and probably a good/average size litter. Much looking forward to the arranged meetings over the next week or two.

After 24 hours of increasing frenetic behaviour Karat gave birth to her first puppy at 3 pm. Within an hour 2 more had arrived, another hour and were up to 5 and by No.10 which was born at 9 pm there was over an hour between pups and she was the proud mum of 7 girls and 3 boys. For each delivery she went into a ‘concentration bubble’ and once pup had arrived turned into a high octane cleaning machine, dealing with the cords with terrifying efficiency. I have never had a bitch whelp so easily or be so business like and all with no intervention needed, we are so proud of her. She was even happy to stop for some light snacks along the way and dinner at 8 !

Settling nicely and it is amazing how pups lined themselves up like this - the white and the liver, probably the only time it will happen! Displaying long tails which will be shorter tonight …..😬 beastly job.

With 10 puppies Karat is going to have to learn fast but so far she has done brilliantly. A lovely calm and quiet mother it will give these beauties a great start.

Karats pups are growing well and she has settled into a good routine . To sustain feeding 10 puppies she has 3 feeds a day including high protein puppy food and substitute puppy milk herself to ensure they thrive.

Sire of our litter “Bodi” visited this weekend with owner Gina Brown. Once Gina and I had spent time with the pups we ran Bodi and Karat letting them take turns to hunt, both pointing birds.
