DORA THE SHOWGIRL!

An indoor Championship Dogshow is somewhere you don't often see Field Trial Champions but Dora spent the day showing herself off at Boston Championship Show and for a previously unshown 4 year old we were very proud of her and she obviously enjoyed meeting the judges !   As it was a one off for us it was a marvellous result to come home with a prize card from the Open Stakes Class.  Thankyou to all the competitors that were so friendly and welcoming, we both thoroughly enjoyed the day and watching so many lovely dogs. JERZI'S FIRST OPEN RUN

Jerzi lasted all of 5 minutes in her first Open run today in Warwickshire!  She started with a tidy retrieve on a hen pheasant which was no problem.  Was then asked to hunt a deep sided  water course full of trees and scrub and working hard she quickly came on point, staunch and eager.  Guns in position, send her in.  She flushed well, but the bird held fast, or as it turned out, two hen birds which sat tight and Jerzi, with her lack of experience,  unsure of what to do with two at once, stayed locked on point.  I do think she would have remained all day so with a thanks to the judges and apology for our indiscretion we shook hands and came on home.  5 hours driving for 5 minutes dog work,  thats trialling ! I think Open may have come a little too soon, we will see how things go.

DORA TV STAR

I chaperoned Dora to the local TV studio yesterday for an interview on the sofa! She didnt need much makeup (!) and was adored by all and even hopped up on the sofa for the 6 o’clock promotion before the news.  To view  Intro then  spin to 6' 40".
