DORA GRADES ON FIRST GROUSE POINTING TEST - 2nd August 2014

Dora's first ever experience on a grouse moor ended with a VERY GOOD grading on Haworth Moor in West Yorkshire. imgres

When  it came to Dora's run she hunted, pointed and flushed her first covey like an old timer.  What a marvellous thing it is to be up on the moor with good dogs and like minded people.  Great day with super competitors and judges.

We cant wait to go back for our first grouse trial later in the year.

Footnote:  Dora went back on 1st September to the Open Trial at Kirkhaugh, Alston.  She ran her socks off 3 times - but those grouse couldn't be held!   A seasoned regular said it was the hardest moor, and that was the hardest day!  Dont worry, we'll be back next year !!
