Visitor from afar

We had a lovely visit today from Alida Bevk and her partner Rock, on holiday in Scotland, who work GSPs back home in Ljubljana, Slovenia. It was so interesting to share the love of hunting our dogs - it crosses all borders. 😀 However the sport may vary in different countries, we all enjoy a hard running dog that finds game and brings it home!

Good luck Alida, to Efi at her first Autumn Trial ! Go girl 🐕🐾🐾🐾

Having a moment 😍

Caught having a moment with Oxo today after another lovely grading at the N&SHPRFT Clubs GPT on Yorkshire’s Roxby Moor. The weekend of training + test hosted by Mark Taylor gave really perfect sport … thankyou Mark - the moor looked amazing and grouse thought so too 😀. Thanks to judges Suzi Burton and Andrew Farley, and thanks to Steve Pleasance and the whole of the N&S organising team who put on such a great weekend. Congratulations to everyone in the gradings and to all the many dogs that ran so well.

Beautiful Weekend

We are very proud of our Oxo,(Aytee Oceania) who came away with an Excellent grading at the HWVCGB GPT today. Described by the judges as "beautiful work” her run rounded off a fantastic weekend of training and Testing. Huge thanks to hosts Janet Sunter and Dez Coates, trainers Hari Lampart & Charlie Grewcock and judges Phil Pearson and Charlie.

Thanks also to Tracie Rickman for organising yet another great event and congratulations to all dogs and handlers who graded as well as the many young dogs having their first taste of the moor. How privileged we are to share this great sport and it was lovely to chat with so many new faces.

Who'd have bitches?

With 3 of our 4 bitches in season and competitions off limits, grrrrrrrr, summer water training comes into its own as it seems the only way to overcome their lethargy. With so many fabulous rivers and lakes to swim locally the only thing to avoid is the salmon fishing 😮

Working Test Win for Doc

Congratulations to Aytee Kalimar ‘Doc’ and Ben Barrett after his 1st in Open at the GSPC Scottish Group WT on Saturday. The club made good use of gullies, moorland and the local loch and Doc answered some tough questions, taking home the silverware. Well done to all winners and huge thanks to judges, organisers and the generous hosts of Brewlands Estate for a great weekend of competition followed on Sunday by training sessions for all ages.

Terrible Two's - Happy Birthday "O" Litter

Happy Birthday to our “O” Litter who are 2 Years Old Today ! Love to the whole litter and their families………Our own Oxo is an excitable ferrari, generally focussed, confident, instinctive and a greedy eater who is a super affectionate, soft as butter companion that can be utterly maddening at times. She feels like the most full on GSP I have ever had or I’m getting old 😂 Thanks for your news and Good luck to you for the coming season from Oxo, Dora and me ….. XXX

Aytee 2022 Breeding Plans

Thankyou to everyone for your enquiries, but after much thought have decided that we will not be breeding a litter this year. We are very sorry for any disappointment this may cause, but would like to thank everyone for contacting Aytee in connection with finding a puppy. With our very best wishes.

Classic Pose

Thanks to owner Dick Telford for this great shot of his youngster Aytee Nerissa ‘Nessa’ pointing snipe at home recently. Even after I’ve watched about 70 runs at pointing tests over the last few days it never fails to give a buzz 😀

Oxo - Grouse Pointing Tests

Some great work and points on Grinton Moor, Yorkshire from our junior dog Oxo ended with a Very Good grading at her first GPT on Saturday.….Huge thanks to hosts, judges, organisers and competitors for such a lovely day and congratulations to all the other graded dogs.

The following 3 days, Sun-Tues we travelled north running in 3 more GPTs but I was surprised Oxo simply did not want to work. She was a different dog, her nose went down, her hunting diminished and try as I might she was distracted and would not get into any kind of serious hunting pattern. Finally, I realised after studying my diary that if she had been mated on her last season she would have whelped on the day of the second GPT !

She has arrived home full of milk, no harm done (apart from my pride ) and she has learnt great manners of waiting in line, but a reminder to bitch owners - dont ignore their calendar 😂

Thankyou to the following clubs for running such brilliant tests on really great grounds and congratulations to all dogs that graded ….HWVCGB, SFTA, NoSGA and the GSPC.

Aytee Harvest Havoc ... nothing like her name

Havoc our kindest and gentlest GSP ever, passed this week aged 13. Dam of 4 Field Trial winners including 2 FT Champions and the winner of the HPR Championship for 2018 & 19 she also leaves an amazing legacy of promising grandchildren that are already winning events. Thankyou to my lifelong friend Nikki who owned and loved Havoc since 2019 giving her the most wonderful last 3 years of her life. 😍🐕 🥰
