We would like to wish all our puppies past and present a successfully and happy new year for 2017. Plus all their owners of course! All being well we plan to show Karat this Spring. Do keep us posted on your plans too, we would love to hear.
Karat the week before Christmas
A fabulous sunny day spent walking up with family and friends, a few birds and lots of laughs. Dora and Jerzi doing their job so well, but James, James and James more got away from the guns than went in the bag ! Great fun and thankyou for such a lovely day. A marvellous end to Christmas and the New Year.
Grrr, never work with children, animals or THE WEATHER ! Beastly fog, no wind and a heavy mild atmosphere and my poor dogs have struggled to find any scent at all this week. Friday picking up for our local shoot was a disaster, where we lost more birds than we found and Saturday a walked up day with shooting over the dogs proved almost impossible. No staunch points with birds produced from either of the Aytee dogs however hard they tried. Testing times, come on, Blow the North wind, Blow !
Aytee and Quintana GSP's worked their socks off for the second time in a week on another super walked up shoot in Suffolk. Crisp, cold weather and lovely ground rewarded the guns with a bag of 30 birds and one fox ! Well done once again to our Dora and Jerzi for a good days work.
Aytee Jessie Jay, better known as Myrtle has won a 2nd and a 3rd in Novice field trials during the last 7 days! Congratulations to owner and handler Hari Lampart who deserves every bit of this success for their hard work. Winning their latest trial on partridge I am sure Myrtle is only just getting into her stride!
Aytee were joined by Quintana GSP's today at Blythborough in Suffolk working everything from heather and bracken to sugar beet, woods and roots and really nailing the sport, coming home with some superb retrieves. Thankyou again to Nick Elsdon for asking us to work for such a great team of guns and to Maureen Nixon for sharing a lovely day.
Fab day with friends and a record bag of 16! Well done to Joe for his fantastic hen bird, James and James for some distinguished pigeons and to the dogs for some superb runners.

A long hunting day for Aytee dogs Dora and Jerzi today, alongside GSP's Esta and Freda with handler Jim Bird, all working for a team of guns in Suffolk. Thankyou to Nick Elsdon for the super day and to guns Jamie, Al, David and Tim for some wonderful shooting. The dogs did some superb retrieves and particular thanks to Jamie for Jerzi's first snipe. Looking forward to the next time!
It was a sad goodbye to Dora's last puppy today Aytee Kristoph. At 15 weeks he was finally off to his new owner in Ireland having waited to have innoculations before he was allowed to travel. Good luck Gerard, you will have a wonderful time he is fab !
However trials go, we have the best dogs in the world :) Jerzi's first running woodcock and 3 1/2 brace. Super day with James, Rob and Johnny, the dogs say thanks Guys !
